 here's a 3rd slice of the big pie featuring deeon's bite off mike dunn, "let it be", which is a deeon style rejig of mike’s "let it be houze." then he gets even finer with "fine hoes." slugo pitches in with his all time classic "where the rats" (dm168) and tosses in "like it raw (subyh)" which is from the “like it raw ep” (dm143), on which it’s titled “strap up before you hit it." it’s a dirty job, but someone’s gotta do it

 dance mania was a chicago label founded ray barney in 1985, and was distributed out of his legenday barney’s onestop. from the very beginning it was known for raw, percussive tracks from the dirty side of disco and in the 90s laid down over 200 12”s that were the blueprint for what is now known as “ghettohouse”, or “bootyhouse”. this sound became the foundation for many regional styles of dance music including detroit’s “ghettohouse”, baltimore’s “club”, and the current sound of chicago’s neighborhoods known as “juke". we are happy to announce volume 2 of the ghetto classics series with this 4 track ep from two of our favorite ghettohouse...   Please log in to see details
